Four-year letter winner for the football and men’s track & field programs… As a thrower on the track and field team was a member of two Midwest College Conference (MCC) Championship teams, 2010 was highlighted by MCC individual outdoor champion titles in the shot put and discus… an NAIA National Indoor Championship qualification in the shot put and weight throw… In 2011, was the MCC indoor and outdoor individual champion in the shot put, was named MCC Indoor and Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year, was the individual outdoor MCC champion in the discus and qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Championship in the shot put and the NAIA Outdoor National Championship in the shot put and discus… In 2012, was the MCC indoor champion in the shot put and MCC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, was the MCC outdoor champion in the shot put and MCC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year, NAIA Indoor National Championship qualifier in the weight throw, and shot put where he earned All-American honors in the shot put with a 6^th place finish, completed his GV career with NAIA Outdoor National Championship qualification in the discus and shot put.

As an offensive lineman for the football program: In 2009, was a Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) 2^nd Team selection… In 2010, was an MSFA 1^st Team selection… In 2011, an AFCA NAIA Coaches' All-America Team selection, earned MSFA 1^st Team honors… GV won a share of the MSFA Midwest League title for the first time in the program's four-year history and earned the program's first playoff berth eventually finishing the season ranked #18 in the NAIA Top 25 Poll. As a senior, the Vikings' offense was ranked in many national statistical categories including 16^th in total rushing offense (2,104), 23^rd in rushing offense per game (175.3), 26^th in first downs per game (19.9), 29^th in total scoring offense (303), 35^th in pass efficiency (122.6), 37^th in total pass offense (2084), 39^th in total offense yards per game (349), and 43^rd in scoring offense per game (173.7)… Wells became the third All-American in Grand View football program history… After Grand View, went on to play 3 seasons with the Iowa Barnstormers... Was a business management major and now works at Wells Fargo as a Senior Quality Assurance Administrator… He and his wife Devon (Jensen ’14) live in Des Moines where she is the GV women’s volleyball coach.
