Grand View University

Burns transferred to Grand View after two years at Iowa Central Community College. Setting the tone for the wrestling program, Burns was named the first national champion in school history in 2009 at 149 lbs. After a medical redshirt in 2010, he was the 2011 Central Region Champion while also snagging his second national title in 2011. In both 2009 and 2011, Burns was named Grand View Wrestling’s Outstanding Wrestler.
