Hall of Fame
Hughes was a four-year member of the Grand View track & field team (2006-2009 outdoor, 2007-2010 indoor). The Viking was a 7x MCC Conference Champion in the following events: High Jump (2007 outdoor, 2008 indoor, 2009 indoor), Long Jump (2009 indoor), Heptathlon (2009 indoor, 2010 indoor), and Decathlon (2009 outdoor). Hughes also qualified five different times for the NAIA National Championship in High Jump (3), 60m Hurdles (1), and Heptathlon (1). The Grand View alumnus currently holds three GVU indoor records in 55m Hurdles (7.73), High Jump (6’ 6.25”), and Heptathlon (4,746pts).
