Two-year letter winner for the football program as a defensive back and return specialist in 2008 and 2009… Was a founding member of the football program after being recruited from Iowa Central Community College… originally from Baytown, Texas… His favorite memory is beating Briar Cliff 20-17 during Grand View’s inaugural football game in 2008… In 2009, Grand View was ranked in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll for five consecutive weeks with its highest rating as #17 in the NAIA… was a Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) 1st Team selection as a defensive back and return specialist, AFCA NAIA All-America 1st Team selection becoming Grand View’s first football All-American... was among NAIA leaders in seven categories: total interceptions (4th-6), passes defended per game (5th-1.50), kickoff return yards per attempt (8th-27), interceptions per game (9th-.50), total punt return yards (23rd-208), total kickoff return yards (29th-513), and forced fumbles per game (50th-.20)… Was also a three-year letter winner on the men’s track & field team that included Midwest Collegiate Conference titles in the 4x100m relay and long jump, setting a then-school record in the 4x400m relay and an NAIA National Championship appearance…  Was a human services major at Grand View and now works at Ellipsis as a Youth Care Worker in Des Moines… He and his wife Alison are parents to two sons; Damauri and Jayvion; and a daughter Zari.
