OSKALOOSA, IOWA - Grand View women's wrestling made their way to William Penn this weekend for the 2026 Heart of America Championships. The Vikings delivered a great performance, coming just one point shy a team title with 2014 points. Grand View earned two champions in the tournament, and fought on the backside of each bracket.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS
103 – Isabelle Apple | 1st Place - Apple received byes through the first two rounds, then pinned Mya Hairston of Central Methodist in 1:56 in the semifinals. Claimed the championship by forfeit over her Grand View teammate Lita Cruz.

103 – Lita Cruz | 2nd Place - Cruz also received byes through the first two rounds and pinned Zoey Mzeru of Central Methodist in 1:19 in the semifinals. Fell to her Grand View teammate Isabelle Apple in the all-Viking championship match.
110 – Tristan Nitta | 2nd Place - Nitta received a bye, then pinned Jenna Gerhardt of Dickinson State in 1:56 and pinned Kylie Robledo of Baker in 1:55 to reach the finals. Dropped the championship match to Mia Palumbo of William Penn by tech fall (10-0).
110 – Eliana Martinez | 4th Place - Martinez received a bye but dropped her quarterfinal match to Deyton Young of Missouri Baptist by fall. She battled back through the consolation bracket, pinning Hailyann Turner of Bismarck State in just 41 seconds, tech-falling Myriam Riley of Dickinson State (10-0), and edging out Kylie Robledo of Baker by decision (8-6) in the consolation semifinals. Fell to Avy Perez of William Penn by tech fall in the third place match.
117 – Cailin Campbell | 3rd Place - Campbell opened with a tech fall over Rebekah Anderson of Dickinson State (10-0), then tech-falled Sarah Pineda of Missouri Valley (13-3) in the quarterfinals. Lost to Zao Estrada of Missouri Valley in the semifinals by tech fall, then bounced back to pin Yusneiry Agrazal of Central Methodist in 4:32 in the consolation semifinals. Claimed third place by forfeit over her Grand View teammate Mayangelie Colon.
117 – Mayangelie Colon | 4th Place - Colon came out firing with a tech fall over Amaris Rivera of Graceland in just 31 seconds, then edged out Yusneiry Agrazal of Central Methodist by decision (17-9) in the quarterfinals. Dropped her semifinal to Christianah Ogunsanya of William Penn by tech fall, then came back with a tech fall over Chloe Herrick of Baker (11-0) in the consolation semifinals. Fell to her Grand View teammate Cailin Campbell in the third place match.
124 – Maya Davis | 3rd Place - Davis received a bye, then pinned Rei Ogden of Bismarck State in 4:21 in the quarterfinals. Dropped her semifinal to Berlin Kiddoo of Central Methodist by fall, then bounced back with a 10-5 decision over Isla Baeza of Missouri Valley in the consolation semifinals. Claimed third place by forfeit over her Grand View teammate Catharine Campbell.
124 – Catharine Campbell | 4th Place - Campbell pinned Sierra Alamilla of Central Methodist in 3:51, then won her quarterfinal by injury default over Jasmina Immaeva of Missouri Valley. Dropped the semifinal to Victoria Baez Dilone of William Penn by decision (8-0), then pinned Tatiana Paragas of William Penn in 2:16 in the consolation semifinals. Fell to her Grand View teammate Maya Davis in the third place match.
145 – Madison Diaz | 4th Place - Diaz received a bye, then tech-falled Naida Abdijanovic of William Penn (10-0) in the quarterfinals. Dropped a tough 8-2 decision to Sarina Bertram of Missouri Valley in the semifinals, then came back with a tech fall over Alexis Dunwiddie of William Woods (10-0) in the consolation semifinals. Dropped the third place match to Maggie Ortmann of Missouri Baptist by fall in 3:30.
160 – Nicole Olson | 3rd Place - Olson received a bye, then pinned Cara Cheng of Missouri Baptist in the quarterfinals. Dropped her semifinal to Maria Slaughter of Missouri Valley by fall in 4:08, then won by injury default over Talia Reed of Missouri Baptist in the consolation semifinals. Claimed third place with a hard-fought 4-4 decision over Hailee Crosland of Baker.
180 – Andjela Prijovic | 2nd Place - Prijovic was dominant all tournament, pinning Savanna Rickter of Dickinson State in just 46 seconds, then winning by decision over Abby Piper of William Woods (7-2), and pinning Autumn Perez of Missouri Valley in 3:44 in the semifinals. Dropped the championship match to Piper Fowler of William Penn by fall in 1:49.
207 – Selena Mares | 1st Place - Mares received byes through the first two rounds, then pinned Brooklyn Jackman of William Woods in just 55 seconds in the semifinals. Closed out the tournament in style, pinning Phoebe Burt of William Penn in just 44 seconds to claim the championship.
