LAWRENCE, KANSAS - Grand View women's bowling team traveled to Lawrence on Feb, 7-8 to compete in the NAIA Open West #1 & #2 where they bowled two separate tournaments over the weekend.
SATURDAY - NAIA Open West #1 was traditional bowling. Leading the team was Freshman
Kennady Bigwood with a 5 game series of 905/181 average following with 4 games, Sophomore
Chastyn Gering 710/177.5 average, Senior
Kylie Arai 673/168.3 average, adding three games, Senior
Michelle Stewart 557/185.7 average, Freshman
Annika Weber 509/169.7 average, Sophomore
Brianna Musgrave 504/168 average Junior
Madison Pickett 469/156.3 average for a combined team total pinfall of 4327/174 average placing them 7
th out of 16 teams.
SUNDAY - Day two introduced 5 Baker games which was a different lane pattern and a little more difficult. The women rolled a 4208 total pinfall of 4208/169 average placing them 8
th /16 teams.
Adding a twist to this tournament was a combined two-day team total not for official standings but for a winners plaque. For every team you crossed with the winner of that set received a point. Going into Sundays last Baker Set the women were in a 7 way tie at 7-2. The women did win their last set finishing with a 8-2 record but finished 4
th in due to total pinfall. The women showed amazing teamwork this weekend.

The women's bowling team travels to Indianapolis, Indiana to compete at the Hoosier Classic on February 14 & 15. That will be their last competition before the Heart of America Conference Championships.
