ADDISON, ILLINOIS - The Grand View women's bowling team delivered a strong performance at the USBC Collegiate Team Sectionals on March 15-16 in Addison, Illinois. The Vikings competed among the top 80 women's teams out of 195 USBC collegiate programs, which include teams from the NAIA, NCAA, University Varsity Club, and Junior College levels.
The Sectionals featured four separate locations, with 22 women's teams competing in Grand View's sectional. Only the top four teams from each site would advance to the USBC Collegiate Team Nationals — making for an intense and highly competitive atmosphere. The format included 64 Baker games spread over two days, testing both physical endurance and mental focus.

Coach's Reflection
Coaches Keith and Melody were extremely proud of the team's performance and consistency throughout the grueling 64-game format.
"64 Baker games in two days is a lot of bowling, and these women stayed focused and determined the entire time," said Coach Keith. "They kept their Baker games pretty consistent, only having two low games, and really brought it in the last set. We graduate three bowlers this spring, and it was great to see how these women helped build a strong team chemistry with the underclassmen, giving them the confidence to step up and add to the strength of this team. We're already looking forward to next year and can't wait to see what our returners and new recruits can do on the lanes."
