LAWERENCE, KANSAS - The Grand View Women's Bowling team traveled to Lawrence, KS, to compete in the NAIA West #1 and NAIA West #2 on February 1-2, 2025.
Day One: NAIA West #1
The competition began with five individual games. Leading the way for the women was senior Isabel Tetmeyer, who bowled a total of 975 for a 195 average. Her impressive performance placed her 4th overall in the tournament and earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Junior Kylie Arai followed with a solid 878/176 average, placing 22nd, while freshman Kennady Bigwood contributed an 811/163 average. Additional games were played by sophomore Madison Pickett, freshman Brianna Musgrave, and freshman Chastyn Gering. As a team, the women recorded a 25-game total of 4,258 pins for a 171 average, earning a 5th-place finish out of 17 teams.
Day Two: NAIA West #2
On the second day, the women competed in 25 team baker games. They posted a team total of 4,191 pins for a 168 average, finishing 8th out of 17 teams. Despite being short one varsity player for the weekend, the team stepped up and showcased their ability to work together, delivering a commendable performance.
UP NEXT
Both teams will compete next in the prestigious Tier 1 Hoosier Classic, the largest tournament of the year. With 76 men's teams and 66 women's teams participating, this tournament is the final preseason event to earn power points and RPI rankings, offering a chance to elevate Grand View's standing nationally.
