ADDISON, ILLINOIS - The Grand View women's bowling team traveled to Addison, IL. this past weekend to compete in the USBC Collegiate Team Sectionals qualifier for the chance at one of the top four spots to advance to the USBC Collegiate Team Nationals.
Qualifiers are held in four locations around the country on the same weekend, with the top 80 men's and 80 women's teams divided into 20 teams and sent to the four locations, with four teams each advancing to nationals. There are 177 men's teams and 162 women's teams that compete all season to become one of the top 80 ranked in the nation for a chance at the USBC Collegiate Championship. The teams bowl 64 baker games and 32 baker games each day, with total pinfall determining the top 4 men's and women's teams to advance to the National Championship help April 17-20.

The women had 23 teams to compete against and started the day with their first 16-game block with 2967/186 Ave. The second 16-game block was 3068/191.6 ave for a 32-game total of 6035/189 ave for day one, sitting in 8
th place and 220 pins from the cut. On day two, the women bowled a first 16-game set of 2803/175.4 ave but returned their last set of 16 bakers with a 3015/188 ave. With a two-day pinfall of 11853/186 two-day team average, and an 8
th place finish.

"The women had an awesome tournament and worked hard coming together as a team and playing some areas of the lanes they weren't comfortable with but making the necessary adjustments.
