BELTON, MISSOURI - On January 27th and 28th, the women's Grand View Bowling Team traveled to Belton, MO., to compete in the Avila Eagles Invitational.
On Day One, the women bowled 5 Individual games for a team total of 25 games. Leading for the women was
Kaytlyn Andrews (SR) with a 921/184.2 ave.
Halie Marean (SR) 918/183.6 ave.
Michelle Stewart (SO) 873/174.6 ave.,
Isabel Tetmeyer (JR) 866/173.2 ave. With
Emilee Hall (JR).
Kylie Arai (SO) and
Madison Pickett (FR) contributed games and fill balls for a team total of 4314 /173 Ave for day one and sitting 2/13. Day Two was 16 Individual games with a team total of 2713/171 ave. for a two-day team total of 7051/172 ave. Securing second place in the tournament out of 13 teams.
The women also made the after-tournament match play for the top 8 teams for the third time this season. This is a chance to win the tournament trophy. The format was baker best of three single elimination. The women bowled against number 7 seed Southern Nazarene University. The women lost the first match 142/162, won the second match 151/132, and lost 126/145.

"This was the first tournament since winter break, and we were missing one of our varsity players due to an injury. The women supported each other well and had the best continuous energy in this season's tournament. With this positive attitude, the team will only get better."
