Joliet, IL - On November 18-19, the women's bowling team traveled to Joliet to compete in the NAIA Invitational to wrap up first-semester bowling.
The women competed in a very different tournament format this past weekend. Day 1 consisted of two individual team games and 20 baker games; Day 2 consisted of three unique team games. A two-day pinfall wins the tournament, but an additional match play round takes the top 8 teams to win the tournament trophy and bragging rights.
Leading the women for the five-game team individuals were
Ariel Engel (GR) with 925/185 ave.,
Emilee Hall (JR) 919-183.8 ave,
Rachel Gore(JR) 908/181.6 ave.,
Isabel Tetmeyer(JR) 902/180.4 ave adding in games were
Kaytlyn Andrews(SR) and
Michelle Stewart (SO) combining for a five-game team total of 25 games a 4536/181.4 ave.
The women struggled some in the 20-game baker sets rolling a 3301/165.1 ave with all team members giving it their best. The women's combined two-day pinfall was 7837/175 Ave. for a 9
th place finish out of 13 teams. The women missed making the after-tournament top 8-bowl for the trophy by 38 pins.

Overall, the women had a great tournament and bowled well as a team.
