LAWRENCE, KANSAS – The Grand View Vikings travelled to Lawrence, Kansas to play a two-day tournament at Eagle Bend Golf Course. The Vikings got off to a good start, sitting at +2 through the first 12 holes, but costly errors on the closing holes led to multiple big numbers. The Vikings finished round one shooting a +18 (306) team score, and sat t-3rd behind Park and Taylor.
In round two of the tournament, Harrison Froling led the way with a -3 (69) including an impressive 5 birdies. Jack Winkel posted a bogey-free score in the red, shooting -1 (71) and finishing +2 (146) for the tournament. To close out the scoring for round two was Gabe Beardsley and Calvin McNeely, posting great rounds of even par (72). The team finished the Baker Invitational in solo second place, shooting an impressive -4 (284) team total in round 2, and a +14 (590) for the tournament. Grand View finished the Invitational with 3 guys inside the top-6 in the 70 man field, with Winkel and Beardsley in t-4th at +2, and individual Krish Gupta in t-6th at +3.
