KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI - (
Brackets – PDF) The Preliminary Brackets for the 2025 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships have been released by the National Office. Hosted by Visit Wichita at Park City Arena in Park City, Kan., the event takes place on March 14th and 15th.
Brackets for the 3rd Annual NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship were determined by a 12-member committee, consisting of conference raters and oversight members from each of the six sponsoring NAIA conferences. A total of 210 wrestlers have been placed across 10 weight classes.
All matches in Sessions I, II, and III will be streamed live on FloWrestling. Session IV and the awards ceremonies will be available live on the NAIA Network and Urban Edge Network.
The championship kicks off on Thursday, March 14, with the first session starting at 10:00 a.m. This session will include the first and second rounds, along with the first two rounds of consolation matches.
The second session of the opening day will begin at 6:00 p.m., featuring the championship quarterfinals and third- and fourth-round consolation matches.
The second and final day of the championship begins on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with the semifinals and placement rounds. The championship finals will take place that evening at 7:00 p.m.
Grand View returns to the national stage with a talented group of wrestlers, including several returning All-Americans:
Tristan Nitta,
Catie Campbell,
Maya Davis,
Krista Warren, and
Olivia Brown. Also making a return to Nationals is
Judy Sandoval, who secured her first Heart Championship title this season and is aiming to achieve All-America status after a strong postseason run.
New faces are also making an impact for the Vikings this season.
Devyn Moore (103 lbs.), a transfer from Simpson, placed 3rd at the HOA Tournament.
Lita Cruz (110 lbs.) claimed a Heart Championship title, while
Cailin Campbell (117 lbs.) took second at the HOA Championship after missing last year's postseason due to injury. Fellow 117-pounder
Mayangelie Colon has been wrestling her best to close out the season and will look to carry that momentum into Nationals.
Freshman standouts are also adding strength to the lineup.
Emmalee Spurgeon (160 lbs.) dominated at the Heart Championships, winning the title with three falls, while
Bella Porcelli (207 lbs.) finished as runner-up to teammate
Olivia Brown at the same event.
The Vikings are poised for a strong showing on the national stage with a mix of experienced veterans and promising newcomers.
210 total wrestlers qualified for the women's wrestling national championship this year, with the Mid-South Conference leading the way with 56 total qualifiers. The Heart of America Conference follows with a total of 46 wrestlers qualifying. William Penn (Iowa), Life (Ga.), Grand View (Iowa), Doane (Neb.), and Providence (Mont.) all travel to Wichita, Kan., with 12 wrestlers, while Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) will travel with 11 wrestlers.
