GV Esports Hosts 2nd Annual GESAC Classic & Clinic

Grand View Esports is excited to announce that registration has opened for the 2nd Annual Global Esports Classic & Clinic. 16 Collegiate League of Legends teams will travel to Grand View University to compete for a $10,000 cash prize pool.

Grand View University invites you to the 2nd Annual Global Esports Clinic. This clinic will take place all day Friday, March 8, and the morning of Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa.

This clinic is specifically for Directors, Coaches, Athletic Directors, and other vital Esports roles currently involved with university and high school competitive Esports programs. The clinic will also provide valuable information for schools that are exploring the idea of starting a competitive varsity Esports program.

This two-day event will provide keynote sessions and panel discussions presented by leading coaches and directors from competitive university programs from across the country. This year, along with keynote sessions, there will be two clinic summits attendees will have the opportunity to participate in. Once summit for schools that have established Esports programs and a summit for institutions looking to start an Esports program.

The clinic will also feature sponsor companies that provide products, resources, and services to help you start or enhance the Esports program on your campus.,

Friday evening there will be a dinner social event for clinic participants and sponsors with drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and food. This will give you quality time to network, and learn from, individuals from established programs from around the country.

The clinic will begin at 10:00 a.m. (C.S.T.) on Friday, March 8 and end on Saturday noon. Check-in on Friday begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Grand View University Student Center.

There will also be a university Esports League of Legends tournament taking place on Friday and Saturday, March 8-9. Admission to the tournament is part of the clinic registration fee.

Clinic Registration:

  • Registration opens December 20, 2018.
  • Registration Fee: $125
  • Registration fee is nonrefundable.
