DES MOINES, IOWA— Grand View University Esports announces the departure of Assistant Director Trevor Horner, who has been an integral part of the program's growth and success over the past several years.
A Grand View alumnus, Trevor was among the first students to participate in the university's esports program, helping lay the foundation for what has become one of the nation's most recognized collegiate esports programs. As a student-athlete, he competed in League of Legends as the team's Jungler, later becoming a key leader both in and out of the game. His commitment to leadership extended beyond competition—serving as Treasurer and CFO for the Viking Council, Trevor demonstrated an early dedication to the broader Grand View community.
After graduating, Trevor returned to Grand View as the Assistant Director of Esports. During his tenure, the program reached new heights—achieving record roster sizes, the highest competitive performances to date, and the largest graduating class in program history. His leadership, mentorship, and vision have left a lasting impact on countless students and the continued success of Grand View Esports.
"Trevor's contributions as both a player and staff member have shaped Grand View Esports into what it is today in the best ways," said Nathan Ragsdell, Esports Director. "We're endlessly grateful for his dedication and leadership, and we wish him massive success in his next chapter."
Grand View University and the entire esports community thank Trevor for his years of service and commitment to excellence. His legacy will continue to influence the program for years to come.
