Makenna Six Earns a National Title

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - What a week in San Antonio! This group showed up and represented in a big way at the ACUI Shotgun Sports National Championship, and the results speak for themselves.

Leading the charge was MaKenna Six, who had an absolutely dominant performance claiming the National Championship in Trap and Skeet with an impressive score of 98/100. That kind of performance on the biggest stage is something special, and MaKenna is bringing home gold in Clay Targets // American Skeet.

For our lone senior, Braeden Hirsch, this was the final chapter of a remarkable college career. A former National Champion himself, Braeden closed things out the right way with a strong score in Trap. He will be deeply missed both for his talent and everything he's brought to this program.

The underclassmen made their presence known as well. Braden Vinson put together a personal best score at a National Championship, good enough to earn him a spot in a shoot-off for 3rd place a tremendous accomplishment and a sign of things to come.

Off the range, the program earned some well-deserved academic recognition. Nik Whipkey, MaKenna Six, and Brooklyn Richardson were all named ACUI Academic All-Americans, a testament to the quality of student-athletes in this program.
