DES MOINES, IOWA - The Vikings hosted the 2026 Heart of America Championships this Saturday. GV posted a 91.63 in the Preliminary Round, and a 90.28 in the Final Round, for a total of 90.62 weighted score. Grand View finished second in the Championship out of 10 participating schools. 

Coach Sarah Buss - "As coaches, we've challenged this team to reach higher skill levels, and they have risen to that challenge with unbelievable resilience and heart. Being tied for first going into finals with a school-record score was an incredible moment, especially in a conference filled with so much talent. Before finals we reminded them it was us versus the scoresheet—just go out and do what we do. While we didn't take the win, finishing runner-up for the first time in school history is something we are extremely proud of. This team showed grit, growth, and belief, and we are so thankful for everyone who stood behind them yesterday."
