Head coach Grant Henderson and longtime Associate head coach Paul Reedy have brought in a former Viking to join their team. Aden Reeves is the newest full-time assistant coach for Grand View's men's wrestling team.
"Since the day Aden became a Viking, he's continued to raise the level of everyone around him. His knowledge of the sport speaks for itself, but what stands out most is how he mentors and invests in people off the mat. Aden believes in what this place is about and having him on board as our new full time assistant is a big win for our program and our athletes." - Coach Henderson
Reeves, from Albia, was a 2x IHSAA State Champion, and a two-time All-American for the Vikings, capping off his career as a 2025 NAIA National Champion.
"I'm fired up to work with Aden Reeves! The same traits that made him a national champion competitor will make him an elite coach." - Coach Reedy
Reeves was voted on by his peers as a team captain for the wrestling team for three seasons as an athlete. Not only is his talent on the mat so appealing for this position, but his leadership and constant pursuit of a Championship Lifestyle is why Reeves was an obvious fit for this position.
"The Grand View wrestling program and its championship lifestyle changed the trajectory of my life. I am excited to continue building upon the championship culture and help our athletes achieve the best version of themselves, on and off the mat."- Aden Reeves
Reeves earned his Bachelor's degree from Grand View University in Business Administration and Master's degree in Sport Management.
Grand View is so excited to keep Aden Reeves in the family.
