PARKVILLE, MISSOURI – The Grand View women's team went down to compete in the Virginia McCoy Fall Invitational this week on Monday and Tuesday. Nine teams made up the field at The National Golf Club of Kansas City in Parkville, Missouri. Grand View only brought three ladies with them, making them ineligible for the team race. The Vikings played as individuals for the two rounds in a field of 52. 

Grand View brought Dani Hurt (Jr), Kate Rahfeldt (Sr), and Megan Riesselman (Sr). Riesselman led the group with a wonderful outing for the two rounds, posting scores of 80 (+8) and 78 (+6) respectively. She posted a total of 14-over for the two rounds and was good enough for a T5 finish in the invitational! She worked herself around the tricky track very well, showing consistency and a well-deserved top 5 finish! Rahfeldt proved to be steady in the two rounds of play as well, turning in two 86 (+14) rounds and putting her T22 for the tournament. Hurt rounds off the three women this week, finishing 38th in the field, but with tons of promise. Although her first round didn't go as she had hoped, she showed toughness and perseverance in her second round on Tuesday, posting an 86 (+14).  

The women look to build on their outing in Missouri when they travel back to golf on their home track next week.  

UP NEXT 
Grand View will host the men's and women's Viking Classic early next week on Oct. 14th and 15th.  The women will look to surge up the leaderboards next week and take advantage of the course knowledge.
