DES MOINES, IOWA - Coach Greenway returns to Grand View as the new head Women's Basketball coach for the 2026-2027 season. This will be Greenway's 9th season with the Vikings' coaching staff and her 5th season as Head Coach.

Kelli has a deep understanding of Grand View, our women's basketball program and, most importantly, what it means to be a Viking. Her passion for our student-athletes, her commitment to excellence and her knowledge of the game make her an outstanding fit to lead our women's basketball program. We are excited to have Kelli back on campus and look forward to the energy, experience and leadership she will bring to all of Grand View Athletics and our community," said Vice President of Athletics Troy Plummer.

For Greenway, the decision to return was an easy one. "It was the familiarity and the people. Overall, it was an easy yes to return to Grand View. I'm very excited to be a Viking and get back to work," she said. Looking ahead to the season, Greenway said "I'm looking forward to getting to know this group, continue the success of Grand View Women's Basketball, and see what we can accomplish this year."

In Greenway's last season with the Vikings in 2021-2022, she led the program to the Round of 32 of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship Opening Round and finished the season 20-8 overall and 14-5 in the conference.

After leaving Grand View in 2022, Greenway spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Drake University, from 2022-2023 through 2025-2026, working under head coach Allison Pohlman. During her time with the Bulldogs, Drake advanced to the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons, going 22-10 overall and 14-6 in Missouri Valley Conference play in 2022-2023 and 29-6 overall and 19-1 in the MVC in 2023-2024, a season in which the Bulldogs won both the conference's regular-season and tournament titles. Drake followed with a 22-12 record and a 15-5 MVC mark in 2024-2025 that included a berth in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament, before finishing 12-20 and 10-10 in the MVC in 2025-2026. 
Greenway first came to Grand View in 2014 after a successful stint at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) in Mason City. The Trojans finished their 2013-14 season with a 34-3 record as they captured both an ICCAC Region XI regular-season title and an ICCAC Region XI tournament title earning them a trip to the national tournament. The Trojans went 3-1 in the national tournament with a third-place finish.

Prior to becoming head coach at NIACC in 2011, Greenway served three years as an assistant for long-time NIACC coach John Oertel under whom she also played for from 2003-2005. Upon graduation from NIACC in 2005, Greenway was named female NIACC student-athlete of the year.

Originally from Peterson, Iowa, Greenway attended The University of Iowa where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Health and Sports Studies in 2008. During her three years at Iowa, Greenway worked as a manager for the women's basketball team under head coach Lisa Bluder and interned with Iowa Hawkeye Strength and Conditioning.

Greenway and her husband, Chad, reside in Altoona with their son, Leo. She is also a stepmom to Mia and Maddox and a grandmother to Mia and her husband, Drew's, two daughters.
