Box Score SHAWNEE, OK. – Riding the momentum of a statement win yesterday, Grand View returned to the diamond looking to keep its offense rolling against the Braves of Ottawa University. The Vikings wasted no time asserting control and delivered a dominant performance from start to finish.

Grand View struck in the opening frame and never looked back. After working traffic on the bases,
Gabriella Taber put the Vikings on the board with an RBI groundout, scoring
Elle Nelsen for the early 1-0 advantage.
The Vikings created separation in the second inning thanks to one swing of the bat.
Ceara Swanson stepped to the plate and launched a two-run home run to left center, bringing home
Alexia Jarrett and extending the lead to 3-0.
An inning later, Swanson continued her strong afternoon. C. Swanson singled to left field,
Alexia Jarrett advanced to second, Kottlowsk then scored which was unearned, pushing the margin to 4-0.
Grand View added two more in the fourth. Nelsen came around to score on
Nevaeh Randall's RBI double to left, and Kottlowski followed with an RBI single to plate Randall and make it 6-0. The Vikings capitalized on clean execution and timely hitting, while Ottawa struggled defensively with three errors on the afternoon.
With the run rule in sight, Grand View put the finishing touches on the victory in the sixth.
Grace Anderson sparked the inning, and
Reese Cooley drove her in with an RBI single to center. Taber followed with an RBI double to left, and Kottlowski capped the scoring with her second RBI single of the day to secure the 9-0 lead.
In the circle, the Vikings were just as sharp.
Madeline Waldorf earned her second win of the season, tossing four shutout innings while allowing just three hits and striking out three. She worked efficiently, throwing 40 strikes in her 55 pitches and keeping the Braves off balance all afternoon.
Molly Breeding entered in relief and closed the door over the final two innings, surrendering only two hits and striking out one to preserve the combined shutout.
Grand View totaled 14 hits in the six-inning effort, with multiple hitters recording multi-hit games. Swanson led the way with a home run and three RBIs, while Kottlowski and Taber each drove in two. Anderson added two hits and swiped two bases, helping set the tone at the top of the lineup.
It was explosive offense. It was dominant pitching. It was another complete team performance.
