DES MOINES, IOWA – The No. 16 Grand View Men's Soccer team showcased resilience and offensive prowess in a 3-1 victory over Clarke University. The match featured an early goal from Clarke, followed by a commanding response from Grand View, including a brace from
Justin Figaroa, to secure the win in a competitive and intense contest.
The game started with Clarke taking an early lead, as William Arana netted a goal in the 8th minute, putting the visitors ahead. However, Grand View responded swiftly, equalizing just over a minute later with a strike from
Tim Schoorlemmer at the 9:47 mark. This early exchange set the tone for a lively match with both teams battling for control.
The second half saw Grand View take control, with
Justin Figaroa scoring two crucial goals in the 58th and 59th minutes, assisted by
Tim Schoorlemmer,
Ignacio Gonzalez, and
