DES MOINES, IOWA – In a hard-fought and exhilarating contest, Grand View Men's Soccer celebrated Senior Night with a hard-earned 3-1 victory over visiting St. Ambrose. The match was packed with intense moments, strategic play, and emotional energy, culminating in a dramatic finish that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Despite an emotionally intense fight from the visitors, the Vikings held strong offense and defense.

The game kicked off with both teams looking to establish dominance, and it was Grand View who struck first. In the 37th minute, Dylan Hunston opened the scoring for the Vikings, assisted by Payton Chapman, giving Grand View an early lead. The Vikings kept pressing and doubled their advantage early in the second half when Tim Schoorlemmer scored his first goal of the game in the 53rd minute, assisted by Justin Figaroa, putting the Vikings ahead 2-0.

St. Ambrose responded fiercely, and in the 57th minute, Luiz Ferbeyre found the net for the visiting team, assisted by Ricardo Ronconi, narrowing the gap to 2-1. The intensity increased as both sides traded fouls and tactical plays, with tensions mounting on and off the field. The visitors' momentum was temporarily halted when both the head coach and assistant coach received yellow cards—highlighting the game's heated atmosphere.
