CRETE, NE — The Grand View women's soccer team traveled to the northwestern side of Iowa to open their non-conference debut against the Tigers of Doane University. In a tightly contested match, Grand View and Doane University battled to a 1-1 draw in their season opener. The game was marked by intense effort from both teams, with multiple shots, strategic substitutions, and a pivotal own goal that ultimately shaped the outcome.
The first half saw aggressive play from Doane, with numerous shot attempts blocked or saved by Vikings' goalkeeper Maya Fritz.
