ATCHISON, KANSAS – The Grand View Women's Soccer team traveled to Benedictine College and battled to a hard-fought 0-0 tie in a defensive-minded contest. Both teams demonstrated strong resilience and disciplined defending, resulting in a scoreless draw that highlighted the teams' defensive efforts.
The game was a tightly contested battle, with Benedictine controlling much of the possession and firing 29 shots, including 11 on goal. Grand View's defense and goalkeeper
Maya Fritz stood tall throughout the match, with Fritz making an impressive 11 saves to keep the Vikings in the game. On the offensive side, Grand View managed only three shots, all on target, but unable to break through the Benedictine defense.
The Vikings showed great effort and discipline, committing eight fouls with no yellow cards given. Despite limited offensive opportunities, Grand View's defense held strong against the host's relentless attack, earning a valuable point on the road.
