MARSHALL, MISSOURI – Grand View men's wrestling traveled to Marshall, MO, Thursday evening for a dual against No. 18 Missouri Valley College. Grand View solidified their place as the top Vikings in the Heart after a convincing 44-9 victory.
The Grand View Vikings wrestling team delivered an impressive performance, defeating Missouri Valley 44-9 in a dominant dual meet. Starting at 125 pounds, No. 1
Aden Reeves set the tone with a swift technical fall (17-2) in just 1:37. Although Missouri Valley responded at 133 pounds, with No. 13 Haden Hernandez earning a 7-0 decision over
Ryan Lobato, Grand View quickly regained momentum.
Tony Mendoza secured a fall at 141 pounds (3:21), followed by
Elijah Larsen pinning his opponent at 149 pounds (4:41). Missouri Valley gained points at 157 pounds through a forfeit, but Grand View's
Dylan Whitt returned the favor with a forfeit win at 165 pounds.
Justin McCunn continued the Vikings' dominance at 174 pounds, earning a fall in just 1:52. At 184 pounds, No. 7
Jameel Coles displayed precision with a 20-4 technical fall victory in 6:23. Top-ranked
Garavous Kouekabakilaho added a major decision win at 197 pounds (14-2), and No. 1
