DAVENPORT, IOWA - Grand View women's soccer hit the road for their final non-conference match of the 2024 season; the Vikings stayed on the border of Iowa as they matched up with the Fighting Bees of St. Ambrose University in the twos' 24th meeting; the Bees would prevail with a 2-0 victory.
A plethora of shots ignited the game from the opposing side;
Maya Fritz was a wall until the 38th minute when the Fighting Bees finally connected on the match's first goal. St. Ambrose was awarded four corner kicks and 11 shots in the first period, leading to its scoring opportunity.
The second period didn't match much of the first, with the Fighting Bees scoring in the opening moments. This left the Vikings with an uphill climb, trailing 2-0. In the final 45 minutes, the Vikings struggled to accumulate an offensive threat, suffering their first loss of the season.

The Vikings will have a week to recover before opening a highly competitive Heart of America play. Grand View will host Central Methodist in its first conference match. The Eagles and Vikings will hit the pitch following the men's contest at 6:30 p.m.
