DES MOINES, IOWA – Top-ranked Grand View University capped off an undefeated home season with a senior night dual versus the Fighting Bees of St. Ambrose University. The Vikings closed out home wrestling in convincing fashion as they blanked the Bees, winning all ten matches on Friday evening in Sisam Arena.

1^st ranked at 125, Aden Reeves kicked off the night for the Vikings. Reeves earned four early back points and would dominate his way to a tech fall after recording three straight takedowns. No. 5 Jackson Cockrell dominated his match, earning a takedown and keeping Martinez on his back; he worked his way to the second tech fall of the evening. Ben Murphy saw his first dual action of the season in Sisam Arena. Murphy would hold on for a 4-2 decision with a great scramble at the end of his match to keep the Bees off the board. Gonzales went after Finch early, recording a takedown, as he finished up his match with the third tech fall of the evening, 20-5. Ankeny native Sam Kallem would get the crowd fired up in Sisam Arena, recording an early takedown and back points to rattle up to a 7-1 lead over Slade Dias. Kallem was consistent offensively as he recorded another TF for the Vikings. No. 6 Justin McCunn recorded another technical fall for the Vikings with a gritty match over Diego Machado, extending Grand View's lead to 28-0. No. 4 Alex Reynolds worked No. 19 Jayden Terronez to an early 16-3 lead by the end of the 1^st period; Reynolds finished his match with another four back points, recording the Vikings' sixth TF. Top-ranked Isaiah Luellen returned to the mat for the Vikings. Luellen was good for another 20-5 tech fall for Grand View. Third-ranked Owen Braungardt started down on Johnson but would land a pin in the final second of the first period capturing his match. The heavyweight nightcap wouldn't disappoint as top-ranked Hagan put Razzak on his back early for the first-period pin. The Vikings held St. Ambrose scoreless as they closed out home wrestling for the 2023-24 season with a 50-0 win.
