DES MOINES, IOWA – 17th ranked Grand View hit the road to MidAmerica Nazarene for their 3rd to last away game of the regular season. The Vikings struggled to score in the fourth quarter, suffering a road loss, 76-68.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
An eye-to-eye start of the game foreshadowed a competitive contest between the two teams. Grand View would get two more basket attempts over the Pioneers in the first quarter and hold a higher FG percentage at 31% compared to MNUs at 29%. Both teams struggled at the three-point line, only connecting on one attempt each.

The Vikings controlled the second quarter, holding the lead for the entirety of the quarter, their most prominent of the contest, 12 points. Cleao Murray would be the Vikings' spark early in the game, leading to their largest lead with her 11th point of the contest. The Pioneers would trail the Vikings 32-23 as they entered halftime.

MidAmerica came to play in the second half, controlling some runs that tied the game at the 3:00 minute mark. Murray hit a clutch jumper to give Grand View a three-point lead, fizzling out a Pioneer run. Ella Larsen connected on a two-point basket that led to a 50-46 for the Vikings entering into the final ten minutes.

MNU struck first in the fourth quarter, showing no sign of submission. Anna Gossling hit a three to give Grand View a 54-41 lead with 8:43 remaining. Pioneers cut the Vikings' lead to two possessions by the 6-minute mark. MidAmerica went on an 11-0 run in the span of 4:00 minutes to pull ahead the Vikings by two, forcing Stohr into a timeout.
