Visitors Guide to Grand View's NAIA Football Championship Semifinal

DES MOINES, IOWA — The No. 2-seeded Grand View University Vikings (12-0, 6-0 HOA) are set to host an NAIA FCS Semifinal Playoff game. The Vikings will welcome the 6th-seed Morningside University Mustangs (12-1, 10-0 GPAC) to Mediacom Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. (CT). For those unable to attend in person, the game will be live-streamed on the Vikings Sports Network. Fans planning to attend are encouraged to review a list of "know-before-you-go" details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable game day experience.

GAME DAY TIMELINE VS. MORNINGSIDE
7:00 a.m. – Lot-1 Opens for Fan Parking/Tailgate (See Map) (Note Later Kick-off)
Approx. 11:30 a.m.  – Viking Football Tailgate Walk 
12:00 p.m. – Gates Open
1:30 p.m. – Kickoff

PROMOTIONS
  • The FIRST 300 FANS get a Red Grand View Football RALLY TOWEL!
  • The game will be a RED OUT; we encourage all fans to wear their VIKING RED!
  • ALL Grand View Students will be allowed into the game for FREE!

STADIUM ENTRANCES – Guest entrances are on the south side of the stadium off Forest Ave.
Home team guests and visiting guests will use the stadium entrance located on the southwest corner of the stadium (next to the Knapp Center). 

TICKETS/PROGRAMS
Tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased online by clicking here. On game day, tickets can also be purchased at the southwest gate using cash or by scanning a QR code provided on-site. Credit cards are not accepted at the gate, so please plan accordingly.

Important: Season passes are not valid for any postseason competitions.

Ticket Prices:
  • Adults: $10
  • Seniors and Military: $5
  • Children 6 and under – FREE!
  • STUDENTS ARE FREE! (Courtesy of SAC & Viking Council) 
Additionally, the 2024 NAIA Semifinal Program will be available for purchase at the gate.

SEATING AND CONCESSIONS INFORMATION 
Grand View Fans: Please enjoy the game from the home side of the stadium, located nearest the west admissions gate.

Visiting Fans: Seating is available on the east side of the stadium.

Concessions and restrooms are conveniently located on the west concourse for your convenience.

Fans are allowed to meet their athletes after the game on the field-level cement concourse, but they must exit at the far north-west side of the stands towards the north endzone. 
 
PARKING
Fans attending the event are kindly requested to park in Lot-1 (refer to the map). If Lot-1 reaches capacity, overflow parking is available along nearby streets, provided local parking regulations are followed.

Please note: Parking in the 'Game Personnel' lot adjacent to the tennis courts is strictly prohibited for fans. Vehicles parked in this area will need to be moved.

TAILGATE POLICY
Join the excitement at the designated tailgating area in Lot 1, located across from the Knapp Center (see map).

Please note:
  • Alcohol is permitted only within the designated tailgating area.
  • Alcohol consumption is prohibited in all other parking lots and inside the stadium.
  • No Kegs or glass can be used in the designated Lot-1. 
 
MEDIA CREDENTIAL INFORMATION
All media personnel planning to attend Saturday's postseason game must complete a Media Credential Verification Form prior to the event. This ensures that everyone covering the game has been properly credentialed and is aware of safety and media guidelines.

For those who fail to complete the form in advance, it will be available onsite on Saturday, December 14th. Media members will be required to fill it out before being granted access to cover the game. Please note that unauthorized individuals attempting to photograph or record the game on the field without proper credentials will not be permitted to proceed.

These measures prioritize the safety and security of all participants, attendees, and staff. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
