DES MOINES, IA – Grand View women's soccer stayed at home for another non-conference match-up against the Chargers of Briar Cliff University. The Vikings and Chargers would go back and forth with chances, but none would fall resulting in a draw, 0-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Vikings were awarded a corner kick in the early minute of the contest, followed by a shot on goal that resulted in a save for the Chargers goalie.
Maya Fritz would get her first save of the contest after a charger struck in the 7th minute. The teams both had opportunities to strike three different times, but the ball just wouldn't fall for either sides.
The second half
Izzy Dammen would get a tough look that seemed promising but the Charger goalie scooped it up last minute, both teams would battle in the midfield before time expired resulting in the Vikings second tie of the season, 0-0.
OF NOTE:
- Maya Fritz posted an impressive 6 saves.
- The Vikings had 7 shots on goal to the Chargers 6.
