Joliet, IL - On November 18-19
th , the men's Grand View Bowling Team traveled to Joliet, IL to compete in the NAIA Invitational. This was a very different format, with the men bowling two individual games and 20 baker games for day one and day two, three individual games.
Leading the team for the five individual games, 25 team total games were
Lucas Kramer (SR) 1006/201.2 ave,
Johnathan Hemmingsen (SR) 957/191.4 ave,
Nicholas Prochnow (SR) 924/185 ave,
Andru Wilder (SO) 844/168.4 ave. Adding in the additional games
Bennett Olsen (FR)
Brandon Nakaoka (SO), and
Caden Ziegler (SR) for a total team pin count of 4640/186 Ave. The men's 20-game set team total was 3787 for a 189.4 ave. Combining individual games and baker games gave the men a total team pinfall of 8427/188 Ave., and the men placed 6
th out of 13.
The men also made the after-tournament match play of the top 8 teams for the first time this season. This a chance to compete head-to-head best of five baker games. The last team standing wins the tournament trophy. The men's first match was against number 3-ranked Pikeville. The men lost the first round but made Pikeville earn it by bowling all five games.

The men's team also had to say goodbye to fellow bowler (SR)
Caden Ziegler, who will graduate in December. Ziegler was also a co-team captain and a great teammate for the past three years. He will be missed.

Grand View Men's Bowling team has competed in six of their ten pre-season tournaments and will start back competing January 27-28 in the Avila Eagles Invitational.
