TOPEKA, KANSAS – The Grand View University men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Topeka, Kansas, to compete in their second and third tournaments of the season on November 14-15. The Vikings participated in the NAIABCA #1 on Friday and the NAIABCA #2 on Saturday.
Men's Results
Friday's NAIABCA #1 featured a 25 individual games format. Freshman Ashton Wells led the Vikings with a five-game total of 932 and a 186.4 average. Freshman Justin Suhr, subbing in starting at game two, bowled the final four games with a strong 789 total and a 196.8 average.
Senior
Andru Wilder added three games with a 525 total (175.0 average), while senior
Justin Graves contributed 520 (173.3 average). Senior
Jonathan Featherston posted 501 (167.0 average), and senior
Xander Pickett added 482 (160.6 average). Senior
Kory Ludden bowled two games for 318 (159.0 average), and sophomore Sam Kock added two games with 320 (160.0 average).
The Vikings combined for a team total of 4,384 with a 175.3 team average, placing 17th out of 18 teams. Individually, Wells finished 37th and Suhr placed 53rd in the tournament standings.
Saturday's NAIABCA #2 switched to a 25 baker games format. The men combined for a baker team total of 4,379 with a 175.1 average, placing 16th out of 18 teams.
