Women's Soccer starts their post season run off with a matchup against MidAmerica Nazarene University on Saturday Afternoon. The match is set to start at 2:30 down in Olathe, KS where the Vikings just traveled to on October 21st where they fell to the pioneers 3-1.
Historically the Vikings have struggled with the Pioneers as they post an overall record of 2-9-1 with their last victory coming in the 2021 season off of a 2-1 win. The Vikings head into this matchup an overall record of 5-6-4 and a 3-1-1 record in the last five games of the season where they outscored their opponents 9-5.
The Vikings offense this year has been able to generate 16 goal over their 15 games while averaging just under 8 shots a game. They have taken 119 shots this season with 58 of them being on goal and they shot a perfect 2-2 on penalty shots throughout the season.
Vanessa Perez-Sandoval led the Vikings this year with 4 goal on the season. On the defensive side of the ball the Vikings were able to post 6 shutouts with five of them coming in conference play. The Goal keepers were also able to snag 63 saves while only allowing 18 goals this season.
