Vikings Fall to Eagles on the Road

Box Score Fayette, MO- The Vikings showed down against the Eagles of Central Methodist in a late afternoon battle Sunday. The Vikings offense struggled to get rolling as they fell 4-0 to the Eagles. 

How It Happened- 
The Vikings Defense held strong early in the match before the Eagles finally were able to push through and open the game up with a goal in the 26th minute. The Eagles would waste no time as they added a second goal in the 30th minute to take a 2-0 lead that would stand before the teams would break for halftime. The Eagles would come out swinging as they added on two more goals in the 52nd and 53rd minutes of the gam to stretch the lead to 4-0. The Vikings would try to rally late with Gracie Bernard and Izzy Dammen both having shots on goal but neither would be able to sneak it past the keeper for a goal. At the end of 90 minutes the Vikings would fall 4-0 to CMU.

  • Vikings would attempt 2 corner kicks
  • 20 total Vikings would see action in the Match
Up Next: The Vikings travel to Lamoni, IA Wednesday afternoon to face the Yellow Jackets of Graceland. Kickoff is slated for 5PM.
