WAUWATOSA, WI - Grand View University men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Wauwatosa, WI. Oct.6-8 to compete in their second pre-season tournament, the 52
nd Midwest Collegiate Champions a Tier One tournament. While both teams struggled on a complicated lane pattern, they showed improvement from their first tournament.
Day one was six individual games. The men's team was led by
Lucas Kramer with a 205.5 average, finishing 33/362 individually, followed by fellow teammates
Andru Wilder with a 192 average and
Johnathan Hemmingsen with a 190 average. Teammates
Caden Ziegler,
Nicholas Prochnow,
Xander Pickett, and
Jonathan Featherston also contributed games for a team total of 5524/184.0 average. Day two was 16 baker games, and the men returned strong with a 3097 set for a 193.5 average for a two-day total of 8693/187.8 average. The men finished 26/47. On day one, for the six-game individuals, the women's team was led by
Emilee Hall with a 176 average, followed by teammate
Isabel Tetmeyer with a 174.5 average. Teammates also contributing to the team individual games were
Kaytlyn Andrews,
Michelle Stewart,
Rachel Gore,
Kylie Arai, and
Madison Pickett, for a team total of 4923/164.3 average.
On day two for the 16 baker games, the women rolled a 2694 pin count for a 168.5 average and a two-day total of 7617/165.5 average. The women finished 28
th /36 teams.
