Felipe Nogueira enters his 2nd season at the helm of the Grand View men's volleyball program.
In his first year as Head Coach, Nogueira and the team garnered the 2022 NAIA National Championship after completing a 27-2 overall season record. Nogueira coached the Vikings to five all-conference honors, two conference specialty awards, five AVCA All-American honors, two NAIA All-American honors, and one national player of the year accolade.
Prior to Grand View, Nogueira was an assistant coach for the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Lion's women's volleyball team. The NCAA Division II school was a part of the Lone Star Conference. The Lions went 11-3 (.786) overall and 10-2 in conference play.
Nogueira, a Grand View alumnus, was an assistant coach for the Vikings from August 2017 to April 2020. In his first two seasons, the Vikings won the NAIA National Invitational Tournament for the first time in 2018 and finished third in 2019.
Nogueira played volleyball at Grand View from 2013 – 2017 as an outside hitter for the Vikings. He was picked as an All-Conference team member in 2015 and 2017, and also excelled in the classroom with three academic All-Conference honors.
Nogueira graduated with his Master's Degree in Sports Management in the Spring of 2020 and with his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in the Spring of 2017 from Grand View University.
