Coach DeBoer is entering his second year with the Grand View men’s soccer program. He serves as an assistant with the varsity and as the head coach of the GV II team. Prior to Grand View, DeBoer served two years as the head coach of the boy's high school varsity team in Pierre, South Dakota. While in Pierre, DeBoer also worked with the local soccer club, Oahe FC, as the U12 boy's coach and served as a director of a coaching role for the club. He also was the U15 girls and U19 boys coach for South Dakota United FC, a club that recruits kids from South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming to compete at national-level events. DeBoer’s U15 girls won the US Club National Championship in 2021, becoming the first girl's team from South Dakota to reach that milestone. Prior to Pierre, DeBoer served one season as an assistant coach at Fargo North High School for the girls soccer program in Fargo, North Dakota. 

DeBoer, originally from Aberdeen, South Dakota, was a decorated high school and club soccer player who received multiple All-State selections at Aberdeen Central High School. DeBoer played club soccer for South Dakota United where his U17 team won South Dakota’s first national championship in 2013. DeBoer would go on to play club soccer at North Dakota State University where he received his bachelor's degree in Social Science Education with minors in his history, business administration, and special education with a coaching endorsement.  

DeBoer also coaches at Johnston High School with the boy's program where he teaches in the social studies department.
