Game 1: Olivet Nazarene University Squeaks By Grand View Vikings In Pitchers Duel
Both teams were strong on the mound on Saturday, but Olivet Nazarene University was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over the Grand View Vikings.
Olivet Nazarene University got on the board in the first inning after Landon Holt doubled, scoring one run.
Devin Doyle started the game for Grand View and recorded 12 outs. Doyle took the loss, going four innings and surrendering one run on four hits, striking out three and walking none. Nicholas Gniedziejko earned the win for Olivet Nazarene, surrendering one hit and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking two. Tyler Snoreck opened the game for Olivet Nazarene, surrendering one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none.

Jaden Drill each collected one hit for Grand View. The Vikings were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Drill had the most chances in the field with 12.
Game 2: Grand View Vikings Cling To Victory As Olivet Nazarene University Nearly Erases 4-Run Deficit
Grand View Vikings got out to a 4-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for a 4-3 victory over Olivet Nazarene University. Olivet Nazarene closed the gap by scoring on a double, a single, and a sacrifice fly.
Grand View got on the board in the top of the fifth inning after
Tyler Lewnau doubled to score one run,
Logan Strassburg singled to score one run, and
Thomas Maathuis doubled to score two runs.
Josh Stoll led things off on the hill for Grand View, giving up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking three.
Jalen Vorpahl earned the win, giving up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one.
Kye Kruse collected the save.
CJ Byrdak also appeared in relief for Grand View. Matt Derkacy began the game for Olivet Nazarene, surrendering one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Qade Carrington took the loss, going three innings and giving up four runs on five hits, striking out one and walking one.
Thomas Maathuis led Grand View with two RBI, going 1-for-3 on the day.
Weston Barber led the Vikings with two hits in four at bats.
Colin Driscoll stole two bases as Grand View swiped three bags on the day.
