MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – – Grand View Softball kicked off their Florida tour with a dominant sweep at the Space Coast Invitational, defeating No. 25 College of Coastal Georgia and Keiser University. The Vikings allowed no runs in either game, showcasing impressive pitching and solid defense, and took control early in both matchups.

Grand View opened the day with a 2-0 win over No. 25 Coastal Georgia, powered by a dominant performance from pitcher
Madi Huisman, who tossed a one-hit shutout while striking out two and forcing 10 groundouts. The Vikings broke through in the second inning when
Samantha Holbert was hit by a pitch and later scored on a
Gabriella Taber single.
Mackenzie Meister reached base on an error and came around to score on a fielder's choice, giving Grand View an early lead. From there, Huisman and the Vikings' defense took control, playing error-free and stranding Coastal Georgia's best scoring chance in the sixth. The victory gave Grand View a strong start to the day with a statement win over a ranked opponent.

Grand View capped the day with a 9-0 victory over Keiser, behind
Madeline Waldorf's six-hit shutout, striking out two and walking none. The Vikings took control early, scoring five runs in the second inning, aided by two Keiser errors.
Samantha Holbert was hit by a pitch to start the rally, and
Gabriella Taber and
Nevaeh Randall delivered key RBI hits to give Grand View the lead. The Vikings extended their advantage in the sixth, adding four more runs, assisted by a throwing error that allowed two runs to score before Holbert drove in two more with a single. Grand View finished with nine runs on seven hits while forcing five Keiser errors. The Vikings played error-free defense behind Waldorf, stranding five Keiser baserunners. The win wrapped up a strong day for Grand View, securing back-to-back shutouts with solid performances on both sides of the ball.
