ATCHISON, KANSAS – Grand View Men's Basketball suffered a 67-46 loss on the road to Benedictine College. The Vikings struggled to generate any offensive momentum, while the Ravens took full advantage of their home floor, dominating with red-hot shooting that ultimately sealed Grand View's fate.
Benedictine set the tone early, and the Vikings never fully recovered.
Ayden Foster's layup at the 14:37 mark briefly got Grand View on the board, but the Ravens' shooting—71% from the field and 82% (9-for-11) from deep—kept the Vikings on their heels throughout the first half. Grand View showed flashes of life defensively, forcing nine turnovers and recording five steals, which sparked a 16-point run late in the half. Despite back-to-back three-pointers from
Connor Robertson and an and-one layup from
Luke Hart, the Vikings found themselves trailing 41-30 at the break. Robertson led the way with nine points on 3-for-4 shooting from beyond the arc, but it wasn't enough to overcome Benedictine's early dominance.
After halftime, the Vikings briefly gained some ground with a quick layup from
Patrick Worrell, but the momentum quickly fizzled. Despite a three-pointer from Hart and a couple of buckets from
Matthew Boldt, Grand View couldn't close the gap and found themselves trailing by 15 with 10 minutes left. The Vikings' offense went cold, and a late three-pointer from
Jackson Green with five minutes remaining marked the last points of the game as Grand View fell 67-46.
