WAUKEE, IOWA - Grand View's White Dance Squad competed this weekend for the first time this season. The Vikings not only competed, but swept the competition at the DTU Regional Championship. The squad took 1st place in the "College Gameday Spirit Showdown" which was the floor competition. Then Grand View competed in the "College Pom" and out performaed the field with a 1st place finish as well. The Vikings are off to a wonderful start and here's what the coaches had to say about their opening weekend.

"What a way to kick off the season! Our White Squad stepped onto the competition floor for the first time this year and absolutely DOMINATED! This marks a historic moment for our program as White Squad competed in the Pom category for the very first time ever. 

In just our second season with two competitive squads, we couldn't be prouder of how far this team has come. The dedication, hard work, and talent on display today was incredible to witness! UP NEXT 
The next competition for the White Squad will be January 10th, after the new year. That will be in Grinnell, Iowa, for the Dance Challenge Team and College Nationals.
