DES MOINES, IOWA — Grand View University football coach E.J. Peterson has announced that Adam Dutcher '11 has been hired as the Vikings' offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.

Adam Dutcher, a 2011 graduate of Grand View University, has rejoined the Viking football staff as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator—a role he previously held from 2019 to 2021. During his earlier tenure with the Vikings, Dutcher was instrumental in helping the team achieve its second-ever National Title appearance. In his final season, he played a key role in player development, coaching two First-Team All-Conference athletes, Mitchell Smith and Kaden Young.

Before returning to Grand View, Dutcher built an impressive coaching resume at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) level. Over four seasons, he was part of programs that won four consecutive Graphic Edge Bowl Championships (2015–2018). Most recently, Dutcher served as the associate head football coach, assistant athletic director, offensive line coach, and run game coordinator at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Prior to his time at Iowa Central, Dutcher spent three successful seasons (2015–2017) at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa, where he was the head strength and conditioning coordinator, offensive line coach, and run game coordinator. During his NJCAA coaching career, Dutcher developed numerous standout players, including three NJCAA All-American offensive linemen: Myron Cunningham (1st Team), David Goldsby (2nd Team), and Rob Castaneda (Honorable Mention). In addition, 14 offensive linemen under his guidance earned ICCAC All-Conference honors.

Dutcher's NJCAA accomplishments followed his three-season stint (2012–2014) at McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas, where he served as the offensive line coach, run game coordinator, and recruiting coordinator. Under his leadership, 12 offensive linemen earned All-Conference recognition, showcasing his ability to develop talent at all levels.
Dutcher began his coaching career after graduating from Grand View University. At Grand View, he worked as a defensive student assistant and linebackers coach, assisting in the football strength and conditioning program. Before his time on staff, he coached the sophomore offensive line at Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, in 2008.

As a student-athlete, Dutcher was a standout offensive lineman. He earned two All-Conference honors at Grand View and served as a two-year team captain. Before transferring to Grand View, Dutcher played at Iowa Central Community College (2006–2007), where he earned two varsity letters and was named a First-Team All-Region selection as a sophomore offensive lineman.

Throughout his career, Adam Dutcher has demonstrated a strong commitment to player development and program success, making him an asset to the Viking football program.
