Cedar Rapids, IA: The Vikings capped of their regular season with a double header against the Mount Mercy Mustangs. The Vikings would take game 1 with a late game rally wining 6-3, before falling in the 9
th inning of game two, 4-3.
GAME 1: Jessica Walljasper would pick up the win for the Vikings after striking out 13 batters. The Vikings also were efficient on the offensive side of the ball as
Olivia Harmon would triple into right center in the 2
ndinning to score the first run of the game. The mustangs would tie things up in the bottom of the 4
th before the Vikings offense sealed the deal with 5 runs in the final two innings.
Mia Noelker and Harmon would hit back-to-back singles to add a pair of runs in the 6
th. The Mustangs would answer back but
Kylie Merical would have a RBI double into left field before
Rachel Anderson sent one out of the park to score 3 runs in the final frame.
GAME 2: The Vikings would keep the bats rolling into game 2 as they added on three runs in the top of the first inning. They would total 3 hits
Olivia Kyes opening it up with a single into center field. Walljasper would get in on the action as she hit an RBI single into center field before Neveah Randall would hit another RBI single into center field. The Mustangs would eventually tie the game in the bottom of the 6
th and help force extra innings. The Vikings would give themselves a few opportunities in extra innings before eventually falling in the bottom of the 9
th.
GAME NOTES:

- Grand View ends the regular season with a .293 batting average
