Lamoni, Iowa—Due to weather, the Vikings headed south to get two of the four games in for the series against Graceland University. The Vikings were coming off a split with the pride in the previous weekend and would try to put some timely hits together and close out the games against the Yellowjackets.
GAME 1:
The Vikings fell to the Yellowjackets 6-2 in Game 1 of the doubleheader, where Grand View's offense would struggle to get timely hits. Grand View would only strike out 3 times in the game and collect 9 hits over 7 innings. Carson Wadel, Brock Rinehart, and Brook Heinnen each collected two hits. Wadel and Broekemeier would each have an RBI in Game 1.
GAME 2:
Game two would come down to the final two innings as Grand View would come away with the Victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over Graceland University. The Vikings would make the score 5-4 in the bottom of the 4th with a home run from Erik Broekemeier scoring two runs. The game was tied at 6 in the bottom of the 7th when Carson Wedel singled to bring in Bryce Stalder to defeat the Yellowjackets. Connor Canny would go 3-3 with 4 RBIS, 2b and a HR. Noah Keuter would be credited with the win, giving up no hits and no runs in one and a third innings.
