BALDWIN CITY, KS- The Vikings had another Heart of America double header this afternoon as they took on the Wildcats from Baker University. After forcing extra innings in game one the Vikings would fall 3-1. Grand View would also struggle to get momentum moving in game two as they again fell 3-1.
GAME 1: The game was a pitcher duel until the 6
th inning when
Rachel Anderson broke the seal and collected an RBI off a single through the left side. The wildcats would tie the game up in the bottom of the seventh before taking the win in the bottom of the 8
th.
Jessica Walljasper struck out 5 batters while only walking one in the first game of the afternoon.
GAME 2: Baker would plate three runs in the bottom of the 3
rd inning to jump out to a quick lead. The Vikings would finally gain some momentum in the top of the 6
th inning when Anderson would double to left field to score the Vikings only run of the game.
Madi Huisman would go 5 innings for the Vikings dealing 5 strikeouts and no walks.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Vikings travel to Crete, NE on March 28
th to take on Doane University in a non-conference double header. Games are slated to begin at 2PM & 4PM. Grand View currently holds a 4 game win streak over Doane and an overall record of 5-2 against them.
