DES MOINES, IA- The 2024 Indoor track and field national qualifiers were announced this morning. The Grand View Vikings will be sending 8 athletes, 6 men and 2 women, to represent the team in Brookings, SD next week. 

Nathan Limas and Seth Diser will open up the meet on Friday morning with the 3k Race Walk at 11:25 AM. Limas leads the way entering the meet in 4th place with a time of 13:28 with Diser closely behind with a time of 13:49 and is sitting in 8th place. Mason Thompson will be the next on the track as he takes part in the 60 meter hurdles at 12:50PM. His time of 8.29 currently has him ranked 33rd in the event. Switching over to the field events Isaiah Roundtree will compete in the High Jump where he is ranked 13th with a mark of 2.06 meters. His first jump of the day will be at 2:00PM. Nate Wilde will also be competing on Friday in the Weight throw at Noon. His season best mark of 17.10 meters has him currently sitting in 28th place. On Saturday the Vikings will have Blake Willey competing in the shot put at 2:30 PM. His season best throw of 16.65 meters has him entering the meet in 6th place. The 60 meter hurdle finals will also be on Friday afternoon at 12:55PM. 

For the womens side of competition Addisyn Terpstra will open up the weekend on Friday at 12:35 PM in the 60 meter hurdles. Her time of 8.92 will have her enter the event in 30th place, with the finals taking place at 12:45 PM on Saturday. In the field events we have Madison Green taking part in the weight throw on Friday at 3:00PM. She enters the competition with a seasons best mark of 17.73 placing her at 5th place before the event starts.
