LAKELAND, FL- The Vikings started their Florida series with a pair of games against the Southeastern Flames. The games took place on a perfect afternoon for softball as it was 72 and sunny with a slight breeze. The Vikings would have a productive first game as they would secure a 5-3 win before falling in the second contest of the day 2-1.
GAME 1: The Flames would score first in the bottom of the first but the Vikings would settle in before
Allyx Lee was able to reach on a fielder's choice on a bunt that would score the VIkings first run. Shortly after she would steal second opening up the opportunity for Oliva Harmon to to steal home. After that run the Vikings would never trail again as they added on a third run off of a
Jessica Walljasper HR in the top of the 4th. She wouldn't stop there as she hit a 2 run homer the following inning to help seal the game. Walljasper would also pick up her 4th win of the season on the mound as she pitched 7 innings as struck out 4 batters in the 5-3 win.
GAME 2: Walljasper kept her great day at the plate rolling early in the second game as she hit her 3rd homer of the afternoon in the top of the 2nd inning. The Vikings defense would dominate for the next few innings as they had the Flames leave 5 base runners stranded on base before they broke through with a pair of runs in the 6th inning. Those two runs would be the difference maker in the second game as the Flames took a 2-1 win, with
Madi Huisman taking the loss after only surrendering 2 runs in 6 innings.

- Walljasper went 3-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 homeruns
- GV stole 3 bases over the series
- Mia Noelker went 2-2 along with a walk
- Rachel Anderson accounted for 8 putouts over the series
