KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced its 2024 Player of the Year. For the first time in program history, the honor will go to a member of the Grand View football team. Quarterback Jackson Waring has been named the recipient of this prestigious award, marking the fifth consecutive year that a quarterback has earned the title. This historic achievement solidifies Waring's exceptional performance and leadership throughout the season, bringing further distinction to the Grand View football program.

Jackson Waring earned the NAIA Player of the Year honors by showcasing his exceptional dual-threat abilities as the driving force behind the Grand View Vikings' success. As the team's second-leading rusher, Waring amassed 541 net yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 41.6 yards per game on the ground, demonstrating his mobility and versatility. He was equally dominant through the air, completing 171 of 283 passes for 2,382 yards, 21 touchdowns, and just three interceptions, showcasing his precision and decision-making. His postseason performances were particularly remarkable, with 153 rushing yards on 41 carries and a rushing touchdown in every playoff game. In addition to his dynamic ground game, Waring excelled as a passer in the playoffs, throwing for 643 yards and three touchdowns. This combination of consistent excellence, clutch postseason contributions, and unmatched leadership solidified his place as the best player in the nation.
