DES MOINES, IOWA – The Grand View women's soccer team hosted Culver-Stockton College for a senior day match on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats capitalized on a penalty kick in the first 20 minutes, and the Vikings could not find an offensive rhythm, falling 1-0.
Grand View University's women's soccer team faced a tough 1-0 loss against Culver-Stockton College on Senior Day. Despite a valiant defensive effort, the Vikings were unable to capitalize on limited offensive opportunities. Culver-Stockton dominated much of the match, taking 12 shots compared to Grand View's 3.
Maya Fritz made six crucial saves, keeping the match within reach, but Culver-Stockton's early second-half goal proved the difference.
With just one corner kick and a solitary shot on goal, Grand View struggled to generate attacking momentum. The team will now look to bounce back in its remaining games as it continues its conference campaign.
